1. Introduction
Welcome to NorthX. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the NorthX website, platform, subscription service, research insights, reports, emails, sample insights, source portal, and related services.
NorthX is owned and operated by Shushrut Kumar Mohanty, a solo business owner based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.
By accessing or using NorthX, submitting your email address, requesting an insight, creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use NorthX.
2. Definitions
- “NorthX”, “we”, “us”, or “our” means the NorthX service owned and operated by Shushrut Kumar Mohanty.
- “User”, “you”, or “your” means any person, company, organization, or entity that accesses or uses NorthX.
- “Service” means the NorthX website, platform, insight generation system, email reports, subscription plans, source coverage, sample insights, dashboards, and related services.
- “Insights” means the research outputs generated or delivered by NorthX, including customer problem signals, quotes, summaries, confidence levels, source references, platform names, solution angles, and market observations.
- “User Inputs” means information submitted by you, including your email address, market, niche, target customer, research preferences, personalization details, or any other information provided to NorthX.
- “Third-Party Sources” means external platforms, websites, communities, forums, review sites, social platforms, and other online sources from which publicly available or accessible information may be reviewed, summarized, referenced, or analyzed.
3. About NorthX
NorthX helps users find customer insights before everyone else does. We analyze hard-to-reach customer conversations, reviews, community discussions, public posts, and other available online signals to generate personalized research insights.
NorthX insights are designed to help users understand customer problems faster, make better product decisions with more confidence, and stay ahead of what customers are starting to care about.
NorthX may provide weekly research insights by email, ranked customer problem signals, customer quotes or excerpts, source and platform context, confidence levels, solution angles, market observations, sample insights, and subscription-based research access.
NorthX is a research and insight tool. It does not guarantee business success, product-market fit, revenue growth, investment outcomes, or the accuracy of any third-party source.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use NorthX. By using NorthX, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement and are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law.
If you are using NorthX on behalf of a company, startup, agency, employer, or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of that entity.
5. Account Access and Login
NorthX may use email-based login, magic links, or other authentication methods. You are responsible for providing a valid email address and keeping your email account, device, login links, and account access secure.
You agree not to share your login link or account access with unauthorized persons. We are not responsible for loss, misuse, or unauthorized access caused by your failure to secure your email account, device, login link, or credentials.
We may suspend or restrict access if we believe an account is being misused, shared improperly, accessed unlawfully, or used in violation of these Terms.
6. User Inputs and Research Preferences
To generate personalized insights, NorthX may ask you to submit information such as your email address, market or niche, type of insight you want, target customer profile, product category, industry, research preferences, and optional personalization details.
You agree that all information you provide is accurate, lawful, and submitted voluntarily.
You must not submit confidential information you are not allowed to share, personal data of third parties without permission, sensitive personal information unless necessary, illegal or infringing content, or trade secrets/proprietary information that you do not want processed by NorthX.
7. Subscriptions and Paid Plans
NorthX may offer free insights, paid subscriptions, one-time plans, trials, or other pricing models. Subscription details, including price, billing cycle, included features, renewal terms, and limitations, will be shown on the pricing page, checkout page, or payment page.
By purchasing a subscription, you authorize NorthX and/or its payment processor to charge you the applicable fees for the selected plan.
Subscriptions are paid on a recurring subscription basis and will continue until you cancel them. Unless clearly stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled.
You are responsible for ensuring that your payment information is accurate and up to date.
8. Billing
Subscription fees may be charged monthly, yearly, or according to the billing period shown at checkout. All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
We may use third-party payment processors to handle payments. By making a payment, you may also be subject to the terms and privacy policy of the payment processor.
NorthX does not store your full card number, UPI credentials, bank login, or full payment credentials unless expressly stated. Payment information is processed by third-party payment providers according to their own terms and privacy policies.
If a payment fails, we may notify you of the failed payment, retry the payment, pause access to paid features, stop sending paid insights, or cancel/downgrade your subscription.
9. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation can be done from the NorthX portal, if available, or by sending an email to hello@northex.app.
Cancellation stops future renewal charges. Unless stated otherwise, after cancellation your access will continue until the end of the current paid billing period.
You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before the next billing date if you do not want to be charged again.
10. Refund Policy
All payments made to NorthX are non-refundable. This includes subscription fees, one-time payments, renewal charges, and any other paid access unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.
Cancelling your subscription does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period. You will continue to have access to the paid features until the end of the billing period, unless your access is terminated due to violation of these Terms.
We do not provide partial refunds for unused time, refunds because you did not use the Service, refunds because an insight did not result in a business outcome, or refunds due to source limitations, unavailable sources, or low signal volume in a niche.
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, such as due to a duplicate payment or a billing error, contact us at hello@northex.app. We may review the issue and decide whether any correction is appropriate.
11. Free Trials, First Insights, and Samples
NorthX may offer a sample insight, free first insight, free trial, preview, or limited access experience. Free or sample insights are provided for evaluation purposes only.
A sample insight does not guarantee that the same format, sources, volume, quality, or depth will always be available for every niche. If a trial converts into a paid subscription, the pricing and billing terms will be shown before payment unless otherwise stated.
12. Delivery of Insights
NorthX may deliver insights by email, dashboard, portal, or any other method we choose. Delivery timelines shown on the website, such as a first insight arriving in 5-10 minutes and future insights arriving weekly, are estimates only.
Actual delivery may vary due to source availability, technical issues, platform limitations, volume of data, payment status, email deliverability, system maintenance, AI processing errors, or changes to third-party platforms. NorthX is not liable for delays, missed emails, spam folder placement, or temporary delivery failures.
13. Nature of Insights
NorthX insights are generated from a combination of publicly available or accessible third-party information, automated processing, AI-assisted analysis, ranking systems, and/or human review.
Insights may include customer problem summaries, ranked signals, quotes or excerpts, platform names, source context, confidence indicators, solution angles, market observations, and research interpretation.
You understand that insights may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, misinterpreted, biased, or based on limited information. You are responsible for independently validating all insights before making business, product, financial, legal, or strategic decisions.
14. Public Sources and Third-Party Content
NorthX may analyze, summarize, reference, or quote content from third-party sources, including Reddit, Hacker News, Indie Hackers, X/Twitter, Dev.to, Product Hunt, G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, AppSumo, Quora, Gartner Peer Insights, GitHub Issues, Stack Overflow, BetaList, Acquire.com, Spiceworks, Alignable, SaaStr, and other public or accessible online sources.
NorthX is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to these third-party platforms unless explicitly stated. Third-party content belongs to its respective owners.
Availability, accuracy, accessibility, and terms of third-party sources may change at any time. We may add, remove, pause, or modify sources at our discretion.
15. No Professional Advice
NorthX provides research and informational content only. NorthX does not provide legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, hiring, compliance, or professional consulting advice unless separately agreed in writing.
You should consult qualified professionals before making decisions that involve legal, financial, regulatory, medical, investment, or other high-risk matters.
16. AI and Automated Processing
NorthX may use AI systems, automated workflows, language models, classifiers, ranking systems, summarization tools, and other technologies to process information and generate insights.
AI and automation may be used to analyze public source data, filter irrelevant content, identify customer pain points, rank problem signals, generate summaries, extract quotes or excerpts, produce confidence explanations, suggest solution angles, and personalize insights based on your inputs. Your User Inputs may be processed by AI service providers or infrastructure providers to deliver the Service. We may use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information to improve our systems.
17. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use NorthX to:
- Violate any law or regulation.
- Infringe intellectual property rights.
- Harass, stalk, profile, or target individuals.
- Build unlawful surveillance or profiling systems.
- Misuse public quotes or source data.
- Misrepresent NorthX outputs as verified facts.
- Resell, copy, or redistribute NorthX insights without permission.
- Use NorthX to create a directly competing service.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, crawl, or copy the Service.
- Attempt to extract prompts, workflows, source logic, ranking methods, or proprietary systems.
- Interfere with the security, performance, or availability of the Service.
- Upload malicious code or harmful content.
- Use automated tools to access the Service without permission.
- Share your paid account with unauthorized users.
- Bypass usage limits or payment requirements.
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you have violated these Terms.
18. Intellectual Property
NorthX and its related branding, website, design, software, workflows, systems, source organization, ranking logic, insight structure, templates, reports, summaries, and other materials are owned by NorthX or its licensors.
You may use the insights delivered to you for your internal business, research, product, strategy, and decision-making purposes.
Unless your plan or a separate written agreement allows it, you may not resell NorthX insights, republish full NorthX reports publicly, sell NorthX outputs as your own research product, create a competing product using NorthX outputs, remove NorthX branding from sample reports where branding is included, or use NorthX content in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership.
You retain ownership of the User Inputs you submit. However, you grant NorthX a limited right to use those inputs to provide, personalize, maintain, and improve the Service.
19. Feedback
If you provide suggestions, feedback, ideas, feature requests, or improvement recommendations, you grant NorthX the right to use them without restriction or compensation. We may use your feedback to improve the Service, create new features, modify existing workflows, or develop commercial offerings.
20. Confidentiality
You agree not to disclose non-public information about NorthX, including private product details, internal workflows, pricing arrangements, source methods, technical systems, or business information, unless such information is already public or you have written permission from us.
We will take reasonable steps to protect your non-public User Inputs and account-related information, subject to the Privacy Policy.
21. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable Service, but we do not guarantee that NorthX will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, hosting failures, email delivery failures, payment processor issues, AI provider issues, source platform changes, API restrictions legal or compliance requirements, or events outside our control.
We are not liable for temporary unavailability, delays, or service interruptions.
22. Changes to the Service
We may modify, add, remove, pause, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. This includes changes to features, source coverage, insight format, email frequency, pricing, plans, ranking methods, confidence scoring, delivery method, free trial availability, and platform access.
If we make a material change that significantly affects active paid users, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users.
23. Changes to Pricing
We may change pricing at any time. Pricing changes will not affect the current paid billing period unless required by law or agreed by you. For recurring subscriptions, pricing changes may apply from the next renewal date after notice is provided.
If you do not agree to a pricing change, you may cancel your subscription before the next renewal.
24. Third-Party Services
NorthX may rely on third-party services for hosting, analytics, payments, email delivery, AI processing, authentication, support, and other operations. We are not responsible for the acts, failures, outages, policies, or practices of third-party service providers.
Your use of third-party payment, login, or linked services may also be governed by their terms and privacy policies.
25. Disclaimers
NorthX is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and suitability for your intended use.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, the Service will be error-free, insights will be accurate or complete, sources will remain available, any market signal will be commercially useful, any idea will succeed, any product decision will be correct, any customer quote will represent the broader market, or any recommendation or solution angle will be viable.
26. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NorthX, its owner, employees, contractors, affiliates, service providers, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
This includes damages related to lost profits, lost revenue, lost business opportunity, lost customers, product failure, incorrect business decisions, reputational harm, data loss, service interruption, reliance on insights, third-party source inaccuracies, or AI-generated errors.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to NorthX will not exceed the amount paid by you to NorthX in the three months immediately before the claim arose. If you have not paid NorthX, our total liability will be limited to INR 1,000.
27. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NorthX, its owner, employees, contractors, affiliates, service providers, and partners from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your misuse of insights, your User Inputs, your violation of law, your violation of third-party rights, or your use of NorthX outputs in your business, product, marketing, or decision-making.
28. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to NorthX if you violate these Terms, fail to pay subscription fees, your payment method fails, you misuse the Service, you create legal, security, or operational risk, we are required to do so by law, or we discontinue the Service.
You may stop using NorthX at any time. Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination, including payment obligations, intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity obligations.

30. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
31. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction
If a dispute arises, both parties will first attempt to resolve it in good faith through written communication. If the dispute is not resolved, the courts located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India will have jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
32. Force Majeure
NorthX will not be liable for any failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet outages, cyberattacks, government actions, legal restrictions, platform changes, third-party service failures, war, strikes, or other events beyond our control.
33. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or business transfer.
34. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
35. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms shown at checkout, form the entire agreement between you and NorthX regarding the Service. Refund and cancellation terms are included in these Terms & Conditions.
